Towing service in the Orlando area
Flat tire changes in Orlando
If you have a usable spare, a roadside tech puts it on and you drive to a tire shop. If the spare is flat too, or the car has none, it is a tow.

Before you call
- Find out whether you have a spare. Many newer cars have a sealant kit instead, or nothing.
- Check the wheel lock key if your wheels have locking lug nuts. It's usually in the glovebox or with the jack.
- Get the car off the road as far as it safely goes. Driving a short way on a flat at low speed to a safe spot beats changing it next to traffic.
On the highway
On I-4 and the toll roads, the Turnpike included, Road Rangers change tires for free (dial *347). Florida's Move Over law makes passing drivers leave your lane or slow to 20 mph under the limit when your hazards are on. That doesn't make the shoulder safe; get behind the guardrail if there is one. What to do on I-4.
Spare tires don't go far
A small temporary spare has a speed and distance limit printed on its sidewall. It's for getting to a tire shop. A long commute on one isn't what it's built for.
Questions people in Orlando ask
My car has no spare. What then?
A tow to a tire shop, or to home if you'll get the tire later. Say there's no spare when you call so they send a tow truck instead of a roadside tech.
Can I use the sealant kit?
For a small puncture in the tread, often yes. It won't fix a sidewall cut or a blowout. The tire shop will want to know you used it.
