One local towing company. You get its name and the total before the truck is sent. Check the name on Sunbiz · Who pays us

Find it

  • The tow-away sign at the lot entrance lists the company and its phone number.
  • The company had to report the tow to the police or the sheriff within 30 minutes. Call the non-emergency line for the agency that covers the lot.
  • If police called the tow after a crash or an arrest, the agency will tell you which company has it and whether there's a hold.

Bring

  • A photo ID.
  • The registration or title, or the rental agreement for a rental car.
  • Payment. In unincorporated Orange County they must take cash, money order, cashier's check, or a major debit or credit card.

The time rules

Florida law says the storage lot must be open for you from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on any day the company is towing, must post a number for after hours, and must release the car within an hour of your request. You can look the car over before you accept it. Do that, and take photos of any new damage before you drive away.

Don't wait

Storage runs in 24-hour blocks. If a car sits long enough, the company can file a lien and eventually sell it under s. 713.78. Get it out first and argue about the bill after. How to dispute a tow.

Questions people in Orlando ask

Someone else is picking up my car. What do they need?

Call the company and ask. Most want a signed note from the owner, a copy of the owner's ID and the registration, plus the person's own ID.

My car isn't registered to me. Can I still get it?

Bring whatever shows your right to it: a bill of sale, a title in your name, or the registered owner with you. Call ahead.
